We will practice Sung breathing and various Qi Gong exercises, to bring balance and peace into our lives. Sung breathing is a technique which, although simple, can have profound effects on our health and consciousness. By regulating the breath we can increase our acquired Qi intake and reconnect to internal and external energy sources. We will start with Ji Ben Qi gong, a set of eight fundamental energy exercises, which are based on moving the body's joints in the most natural and efficient way possible. They can be practiced without having them clash with any other regular Qi Gong sequences. They are simple and a good place for beginners to start as well as a good warm up for experienced practitioners and instructors. A combination of controlled breathing, slow gentle movements and a calm mind, enables your Qi to flow more efficiently through your body. This brings many health benefits which will be discussed in class. Sharing of techniques and wisdom are welcome and we can all learn from each other during these Monday sessions. The class will be facilitated by Wanda Knapik, an experienced Qi Gong practitioner and educator. Printed material will be provided for practicing at home, as well as links to videos, books, and other material to deepen your understanding of these ancient Qi Gong practices.
